Las Vegas Organizations, Clubs, and Groups
Newcomers to Las Vegas often wonder if there favorite group or organization is active. The good news is there are many groups, clubs and organizations in Las Vegas. Many of them are well organized and thriving.
I am a member of several clubs and organizations and can elaborate briefly about them. If you have a question about a particular group in Las Vegas please contact us. We have many connections and can quickly help you locate contact information for a local organization as you move into the valley.
Boy Scouts of America in Las Vegas, NV
The Boy Scout program in Las Vegas thrives. Several districts cut up the valley. Regular Round Tables and other organizational meetings occur regularly and training meetings keep both boys and leaders up to speed.
In Utah I was a boy scout master. We had a ton of fun and learned a lot. Here in Nevada I have worked as the Venture Crew Chief. There are many places to camp, explore, and a ton of things to do.
Little League in Las Vegas
The Little League Baseball program is a huge success in the Valley. Youth of many ages play throughout the year because of the great weather conditions. Baseball, tee-ball, and softball leagues are set up throughout the community. Ball fields are placed in great locations. Leaders within the program are usually attentive and responsive to team needs. The youth gets to participate in friendly competition and exercise.
I have been a Little League coach for a few years here in the valley. The program is well organized and we have had a lot of fun.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Membership within the LDS church is strong in Las Vegas. I love the saints here. With access to many of the degrading activities in any city it is comforting to find a people with strong morals and values who live for peace and prosperity.
Mojave Max
Mojave Max is a desert tortoise. Desert tortoises are threatened in the Mojave Desert. There is a program to educate youth about the animals so citizens can care for the habitat.
I have worked with the city to educate school children. We visit elementary schools and give presentations to the children (typically 3rd graders). We also participate in other conservational activities.
Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors®
Realtors® are held to a high level of professionalism. The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors® is well organized. Real estate professionals will appreciate a group who supports the industry and promotes a high business standard.
